Good day and welcome everyone!
February 17th is not too far away. This date marks the 1st birthday of our clan - International Drivers Community, and what better way to celebrate than to organise a tournament for all our fellow racers, racing teams.
The idea of this tournament is to have a map list of only pure racing maps, 3-5 minute "enduros" or street maps, which challenge each player almost equally, no fancy shortcuts or thinking about lines and practicing them for hours. We will include some of the best Garik maps from back in the day and some new creations to mix things up a little. But the main idea is pure racing, not preparing the maps for hours.
It would be optimal for us to get 8 teams to participate, so that there would be 2 groups of 4 teams, the tournament will last for 2 days, first day for group stages and second for semis etc. So to all the teams - try to get atleast the minimum amount of players, it can't be that hard. It will depend on the overall activity whether we decide to do matches for 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th places. But we are hoping to do that as well. The format and map list will be released either this weekend or at the start of next week. If I get the money resources there may be some mini rewards for best players, but that is on the question mark, we will figure it out soon! I will personally invite the clans, but if you have a less known clan and we need participants, feel free to message me.
RULES:
-The matches can be played either 4x4,5x5 or if both teams have enough players 6x6.
-Don't be a dick!
-If your player times out in the first 15 seconds of play, you are entitled to ask for a restart.
-Quite obvious, but still, don't hack.
-If you really have no way to get all the players, the opponent team can pick your 4th player from the audience, in fact, they must.
-Remember to have fun!
